Pixie Lott says new album is her favourite of career

Pixie Lott reckons her upcoming new album is her best yet.

The singer is due to release her self-titled effort on August 4 and she told Fault that it represents herself succinctly.

She said: "I grew up listening to music from the '60s and '70s and mixed that with who I am. It's the favourite album I've made so far. It best represents me, which is why I named it 'Pixie Lott'. I knew I wanted it to have a cohesive sound and not lose the soul. It's what I wanted my second album to be, but that didn't end up happening."

Lott meanwhile also opened up on beauty, suggesting that it is truly found inside the body, not outside.

She said: "Beauty comes from the inside out. If you are feeling good on the inside and give out love and kindness it does show, and makes you look and feel more beautiful."
