Pixie Lott becomes Poppy Appeal ambassador

Blonde bombshell Pixie Lott swapped her pretty dresses for army issue uniforms earlier today (October 24) as she signed up to be an ambassador of the Royal British Legion.

The 'Broken Arrow' songstress visited RAF Northolt in London to kickstart this year's Poppy Appeal and explained that she wanted to support the cause and the Poppy Appeal because her grandfather served with the Royal Navy and her great-grandad was in the Royal Marines Light Infantry.

Speaking about the cause, Lott told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "What struck me the most was how young they all were. It's amazing the selfless commitment - their bravery is beyond words. That's why I'm standing shoulder to shoulder with our brave boys and girls."

She spent time at the military site with soldiers and their relatives, and posed for photographs before watching a demonstration by the Queen's Colour Squadron RAF regiment.
