Dirty Sole Shares "Faking" Music Video

FWD Motion Available December 9th!

Chicago's indie electronic group Dirty Sole have released the music video for their recent single "Faking." It is the debut single from their sophomore album FWD Motion, available December 9, 2016. The music video was premiered on IX Daily, who explained the video as, "an art-house experience following what seems to be a couple who emit kinetic-type energy, forcing them to discover themselves together all throughout the video."

With analog warmth under an electric guitar, Dirty Sole's unique approach proves they aren't your typical indie group, and almost brings out a certain Milky Chance sound. It's got a true rollicking feel and super addictive progression, making it quite the stand out feature on the album. Co-piloting the song is singer-songwriter Jon Von Letscher (one half of Honey Claws), who layers an infectious vocal so perfect it sounds as if the song almost wrote itself. When talking about the song's meaning, Dirty Sole said, "We've all been there before, where a relationship is totally fake..."

"Faking" quickly follows the release of Dirty Sole's music video for "Take You There." "Take You There" utilizes analog riffs, electronic bass, and a phased out vocal to create a futuristic, Timbaland inspired sound. Directed by Diane Sagnier of QUAD Productions, the music video sees a group of friends taking a psychedelic road trip through the desert.
Dirty Sole is an indie electronic group consisting of Daniel Anderegg and Richie Heller. The moniker was created by Heller, who wanted to make electronic music that sounded dirty, but soulful. The group is based out of Chicago, where they originally met in 2001. Dirty Sole released their debut album Skattered Jazz on UK label Classic Music and followed with a string of singles that saw their unique blend of house, funk, and techno.

FWD Motion marks a rebranding and fresh indie electronic sound for Dirty Sole, who were previously known for their underground dance releases. The concept was to take dance music and move forward, symbolizing the duo's natural musical progression. The album effortlessly melds elements of electronic, synth pop, house, dance, funk, and hip hop and includes collaborations with Jon Von LetschLyrics BornForemost PoetsHanssen, and James Curd

Look out for FWD Motion on December 9, 2016 on Dirty Sole Music!
