Professor Green defends One Direction after 'joint' video: 'Let them live'

Professor Green has shown his support for One Direction's Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik after they were embroiled in a drugs row.

A video apparently featuring the two singers taken in a van in Peru last month has surfaced online and it sees a joint being passed around.

Malik is seemingly seen puffing on the drug and Tomlinson, who reportedly narrates the clip, pokes fun at the police.

Debate about One Direction's status as role models has since ensued, but rapper Professor Green said on Twitter that the video is no big deal.

He said: "Poor 1d...differently there's some lovely lemon about at the moment. I just don't get why they cause people such torment, two blokes having a zoot and a giggle in the back of a car. I'd understand if they posted the video themselves...or if one of em stumbled out of a brothel with a needle hanging out of their groin.

"Let 'em live for f*cks sake. And whoever sold em up the river should really just go and play in traffic...on the M1. All I'm saying is big up Snoop Dog for making life for a rapper a lot easier (sic)."
