Professor Green on slapping audience member: 'What's happened to rock and roll?'

Professor Green has defended himself after he was filmed slapping an audience member.

The 'Lullaby' star was performing at Durham University's Freshers' Ball recently when he was caught on video seemingly striking a gig-goer.

He reportedly said to the man: "This is what happens when you call me a c***."

Speaking to the Mirror at the MOBO Awards in London on Wednesday (October 22), Green said:

"I don't reflect on things like that. If someone abuses you and throws their hand up at your face, then someone says that you hit a fan I'm just like like what fan? It happened.

"I mean, what's happened to rock and roll? I don't understand why it became such a big thing."

Green meanwhile released his new album 'Growing Up In Public' in September.
