Professor Green pulls out of Global Gathering

UK rapper Professor Green was forced to pull out of his scheduled performance at Global Gathering (July 29) over the weekend after hospitalisation.

The 'I Need You Tonight' star came down with "suspected meningitis" and a "severe bout of tonsilitis" so was rushed to hospital and was unable to take the stage at the festival, which he apologised for on Twitter as he never had to cancel a show before:

"Was in hospital with suspected meningitis thursday night, then sent to ent with tonsillitis and suspected throat abscess… :/"

"first ever live show I've pulled. Feel terrible and terrible about pulling it... severe bout of tonsillitis, ended up in hospital to rule out meningitis and throat abscess. Not brilliant."

Although he is well on his way to recovery now, Green tweeted a message last night that said he was "still feeling ropey".
