Professor Green wants to lend his lyrical prowess to flagging girl groups

Rapper Professor Green thinks he can help out some of the UK's flagging girl bands with his songwriting skills and lyrical prowess.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the 'Monster' star explained that he feels as though he could boost the popularity of new group Parade because their songs, unlike their "pretty" look, aren't strong enough:

"I would definitely like to write for other people, particularly Parade. They’re pretty girls with shit songs.”

Green also opened up about his collaboration with vocalist Emeli Sandé on his upcoming single, 'Read All About It', and praised her natural ability to perform with a real sense of emotion:

"Initially I nearly didn’t get Emeli involved because she hadn’t written the chorus and was a little bit iffy about it."

“She was like: ‘Let’s get all the production finished’, so I got the strings on it and then I laid my section down and then Emeli heard it and it made sense to her. I couldn’t be happier that she’s on it. She captures real emotion when she sings.”
