Professor Green on car crash: 'It could have killed me'

British rapper Professor Green has opened up about the accident he suffered earlier this year, in which he was crushed between two cars, and revealed that he could have died.

Speaking exclusively to Gigwise about the incident that left him injured and in need of an ambulance, the 'I Need You Tonight' hitmaker explained what happened: "He hit me, carried me and then squashed me in between another car. Imagine that he hit me and I fell forward and it was my head that was caught. It makes me shiver. It could have been horrible."

Green admitted he was determined not to let his recovery get in the way of working on his new album or performing at last month's Glastonbury Festival: "There's never a convenient time for that to happen, but at the start of an album cycle and just before Glastonbury - it was as inconvenient as it could have possibly been, without it being any more serious."

"I didn't want to miss Glastonbury, but to do Glastonbury I had to do the warm-up shows or the band wouldn't have been ready and neither would I. The doctors said that I needed to rest and do physio. I'd already cancelled four gigs and I don't like letting people down."
