Thom Yorke says he "Always hated CDs"

Radiohead singer Thom Yorke has revealed a life-long hatred of CDs and claimed that online distribution is the way forward for the music industry.

Yorke, whose band were credited with revolutionising the industry when they released 'In Rainbows' online and instructed fans to pay only what they felt it was worth, said, "Me and Stanley (Donwood, the designer) always hated CDs. Just a fucking nightmare. There's a process of natural selection going on right now. The music business was waiting to die in its current form about 20 years ago. But then, hallelujah, the CD turned up and kept it going for a bit. But basically, it was dead."
