Radiohead respond to Glastonbury headline rumours

Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien has responded warmly to suggestions the band could headline the Glastonbury Festival next year.

The group have been rumoured to the top the bill at the event next summer, while the likes of Daft Punk and Lady Gaga have also been tipped.

Speaking to BBC 6 Music, O'Brien said the festival is like a "spiritual home" for the rock band.

He said: "I would love to [play the festival]. I go to Glastonbury every year, it’s my carnival. To be asked to play at Glastonbury again would be magic.

"I also think Glastonbury is like our spiritual home. It is the mother of all festivals...there’s nothing like that one...It would be great to play there."

Tickets for next year's Glastonbury went on sale on Sunday (October 9), with websites crashing due to popularity.
