‘Infectious slice of pop heaven’ – Female First'

Make My Day’ is the new single to be released by up and coming singer songwriter Emma Stevens. As uplifting as it is beautiful, this track equates to the perfect summer listening. Unashamedly pop, there is no cynicism with Emma’s music adding a purity to her songs making it thoroughly refreshing.

‘Emma Stevens has a singular ability in her writing and singing to realise the pure heart and true intenion of a lyric and melody. There is no artifice in her creativity, not in her hauntingly honest voice or melodic sensibility.’ – Charlie Midnight (Grammy award winning songwriter and producer.)

Emma was bought her first guitar at the tender age of three after being utterly captivated by her mother’s playing. Tragically Emma’s mother passed away in 2012 and, having been Emma’s inspiration, she is now the driving force behind Emma’s unwavering determination and work ethic. Having played throughout her childhood as well as studying ‘Guitar and Performance’ at music school, Emma was discovered by music manager Bob James. After this her song-writing career took off and she found herself travelling around the world to places like LA and Korea. Korean boy band ‘SHINee’ released one of Emma’s songs from their album and the single sold over 100,000 copies in its first week hitting the number one spot. Emma also worked with the BBC and ITV but her real passion lay in performing so she decided to focus on her career as a singer songwriter and releasing her own music.

‘The catchiest pop you’ll hear in a while’ – All-Noise

Her first album ‘Enchanted’ was well received and Emma was championed and supported wholeheartedly by BBC Radio 2, in particular by Chris Evans and Terry Wogan. So impressed were they by Emma, they playlisted all three of her singles and she did several live sessions on both of their shows reaching audiences of millions. Chris Evans requested she play at his festival ‘Carfest’ along with Scouting For Girls and Amy MacDonald, cementing her place as a rising star. Not only that but she headlined the ‘BBC Introducing’ stage at ‘Festival In A Day’ in Hyde Park which prepared her well for her own headline tour which she has just finished. It wasn’t only in the UK that Emma was successful; she was also playlisted on Radio 2 in both Holland and Belgium.

‘It’s pop, it’s folk, it’s indie, it’s kitsch, it’s wonderful’ – Louder Than War

Perhaps the biggest sign of her immense promise is the support she has received from both iTunes who dubbed her ‘the best of 2013’. ‘Make My Day’ more than proves Emma is no one hit wonder and has plenty more in store.
