Confirming their standing as the boy-girl harmony group that British music has been crying out for, EverYoung release their gloriously catchy new single Stuck In This Mess on 1st March.

Already a firm favourite with the thousands who have flocked to see them singing live in the past year, Stuck In This Mess is a gem that captures the fast-rising vocal quartet at their ebullient best.

With all four band members singing lead and harmony, the natural performing instincts of Jack, Cherelle, Eyal and Hollie are heavily to the fore, showcasing a group who have honed their craft on the road rather than resorting to the quick-fix of the TV talent shows.

As EverYoung’s fourth single, Stuck In This Mess continues an infectious sequence that began in 2013 when the group made an early impression on the independent chart with debut single You Got Me. That admirable start was followed by a second single, Icy Blue, and last November’s freewheeling anthem Starchaser, a release that saw the feel-good foursome joined by Oscar-winning actor Jeremy Irons for a high-spirited promo video that catapulted them further into the national press and saw them playlisted by the country’s radio stations and music channels such as Chart Show TV.

As graduates of The Sylvia Young Theatre School – where Rita Ora, Emma Bunton, Amy Winehouse and McFly’s Tom Fletcher also cut their musical teeth – EverYoung have always put the onus firmly on performance. They love singing onstage, and the 175 appearances they made in 2014, from live radio sessions to charity galas and outdoor festivals, saw their appetite for hard work rewarded with over 62,000 Facebook likes and 11,500 Twitter followers.

The group’s love of music goes back even further, too, being inspired by their parents’ eclectic record collections and a desire to emulate their heroes. For Jack Morlen, 19, from Brighton, it was his dad’s David Bowie, Kate Bush and Black Eyed Peas albums. For Londoner Cherelle Williams, 20, it was the Whitney Houston and Bob Marley records in her mum’s collection. Essex girl Hollie McKinlay, 20, was a fan of Luther Vandross and Lionel Ritchie, while Eyal Booker, 19, from Bushey, was introduced at a young age to the sound and swagger of such rock gods as Springsteen, Oasis and The Rolling Stones.

Inspired by the greats, EverYoung are a positive and passionate package, wholly dedicated to their music but smart enough not to take themselves too seriously.

And now, with Stuck In This Mess, they are setting their sights even higher – looking to break into the UK charts while aiming to reach as wide an audience as possible.
