Robbie Williams' new record isn't eligible for chart entry.

The singer surprised fans last week by confirming the release of 'Under The Radar' on December 1.

The album features unreleased material and it was mooted that it would go head-to-head in a chart battle with the release of former group Take That's latest effort 'III'.

However, the Official Charts Company have confirmed that the record isn't eligible for chart entry as it is released exclusively through Williams' website.

They said: "Robbie's album isn't chart eligible as it's solely available through his website and has been released by his management rather than the label."

Take That's 'III' meanwhile is No.1 on the midweek albums chart update.

If the record is top of the list come Sunday (December 7), the group will have achieved their sixth No.1 album in a row.
