Robbie Williams reveals new album was written in eight days

Robbie Williams has revealed that his new album, ‘Take The Crown,’ was written in just eight days.

The former Take That star, who releases the follow-up to ‘Reality Killed The Video Star’ on Nov 5, admitted a new song-writing partnership was responsible for the record’s quick conception:

"My brother in law - who's in a rap combo called The Connects - his music got 40% better overnight and I said, 'What's going on?'

"He said: 'We met these guys in a bar, these Australian guys, and they produce and write songs'. I said to him: 'Well, get them up to the house,' and within eight days, we'd written the album."

The 38-year-old, who earlier this week performed with a topless woman on the Italian version of The X-Factor, then added:

"I found it to be a very fortuitous blend straight away. More so than anything I've ever done in the past really."
