Robbie Williams ready for Gary Barlow chart battle

Robbie Williams is ready to go head-to-head with Gary Barlow in the charts.

The singer is releasing his new effort 'Swings Both Ways' on November 18 whilst his Take That bandmate is unleashing 'Since I Saw You Last' a week later.

Speaking to the Mirror, Williams admitted that he is unsure if he will perform better than his boyband comrade in charts. He said:

"I don't know if he is, but I am [excited]. Will I beat him? Well, he's a national treasure now.

"If he does outsell me, or win - he's been to places I haven't before - it'll be the crowning glory for him. If not, I'll be really happy, too. But either way, God bless him."

Williams' 'Swings Both Ways' meanwhile is due to feature collaborations from the likes of Lily Allen and Olly Murs.
