K-SYRAN POKES FUN AT EMOJI OBSESSED CELEBS WITH RELEASE OF CHEEKY NEW VIDEO

It made the Top40 Billboard chart throughout this summer in the US, now 'Hello' waves at the emoji generation in the UK

As her single ‘Hello’ prepares for release in the UK following it’s Top 40 Billboard chart position throughout this summer, singer/songwriter, K-Syran uses the power of video to question whether we’re actually turning into digital versions of ourselves?  ‘Hello’ is released in the UK on Intimacy Records on 21 October.

‘Hello…hello, is anybody really there?’ her song shouts, as the accompanying video exudes fun and vibrance alongside K-Syran’s own cheeky tongue-in-cheek emoji.

K-Syran’s ‘Hello’ address a very apparent situation within all our lives right now.  It’s fair to say that the emoji revolution has stomped its smiley-faced way into our whole being, to the point where we’re actually morphing into our own emojis.  Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa (honestly, this really does only name a few of the emoji-morphers) have all created their own ‘self’ as emoji beings.  Choosing to re-create their entire lives and feelings through the world of emoji has completely taken over us all.  Kim Kardashian can now be seen ‘twerked and perked’ in numerous moveable characters, whilst Ariana Grande’s created an entire reconstruction of her wardrobe emoji-style.

Have we all lost ourselves?  Or are these celebrities hiding behind their emojis as a façade, helping them to look great even on those slightly unruly hair-days?  International singer/songwriter, K-Syran, who’s well known for speaking up and having an opinion on world issues (she was the voice of this year’s International Women’s Day) thinks that celebs have gone an emoji too far in their virtual reincarnation.  She believes that we’re all now turning from real flesh and blood into virtual versions of ourselves and has created a cheeky transformational video as a tongue in cheek wink at those emoji-morphing celebs.

“ ‘Hello’ is a shout out to everyone to be aware that we all need to find ourselves again and make sure that we stay true to who we are,” K-Syran comments.  “I travel the world constantly as I gig and tour and I see an increasing amount of people living their lives through their screens and tablets, totally unaware of what’s going on around them as they walk down the street plugged into their headphones and staring at their screens.  Now we’ve all gone one-step further and we’re actually morphing into our own virtual worlds.  Hello……is anybody there, we need to see the REAL YOU!”

K-Syran’s ‘Hello’ was a big hit in the US, holding it’s place in the Billboard Top40 all summer.  Now K-Syran brings her digital-greeting over to the UK as public demand urged her to ship her message over to British shores.

“A beautiful bright yellow smiley emoji face is wonderful,” K-Syran explains, “But don’t forget that a simple ‘hello’ from the heart (from yourself) can cheer up somebody’s day even more.  We all love our emojis, but stay true to your own self too.”
