Sarah Harding says working with boyfriend put strain on relationship

Sarah Harding has admitted that working on music with her boyfriend caused a lot of tension.

The singer has been busy creating her first solo record and she has roped in partner and DJ Mark Foster to help mould the album.

However, she told the London Evening Standard that it hasn't always been rosy.

Harding said: "Much of it I recorded from my house. Mark being a producer as well, we've got a little set-up in one of the spare rooms which we've turned into a studio.

"We don't work well together though. We have creative differences, to say the least. It's good, but we've got to try and maintain each others' roles. If I start trying to produce, it really pisses him off, and vice versa."

The Girls Aloud star performed her first solo show at London's Kensington Palace on Thursday (March 20).

She is due to follow that up with a gig at the Islington Academy on Wednesday (March 26).
