Sarah Harding says she isn't holding back when it comes to expressing herself on her solo music.

The singer is currently working on her debut solo album following the final split of Girls Aloud last year after a 10th anniversary reunion.

She played two shows in the last couple of weeks as she kicked off her solo career, with Harding also working with boyfriend and DJ Mark Foster on new material.

Speaking to the Mirror, the singer said that she isn't afraid to speak her mind on her record, with some swear words included.

Harding said: "I wear my heart on my sleeve, I’m expressing who I am as a strong female. I’m not going to be adverse to the odd swear word.

“But it’s not Rihanna, it’s not full on f**ing this and I want to do this to you, not that I’ve a problem with that. It’s still pop music. Yes there is one track that has a bit of swearing but nothing majorly offensive."
