The Saturdays on success: "You have to keep trying all the time"

The Saturdays believe that they have to keep plugging away at the charts in an effort to avoid complacency.

The UK girl group achieved their first UK No.1 single in 2012 with the track 'What About Us' after a number of years of trying.

Their next release, 2013's 'Gentleman', reached No.14, showing the variable nature of music success.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Una Healy said that the group are always trying their best to achieve chart success despite having a No.1 under their belts.

She said: "We had a number one this year and I felt like we were at the top that day. But with the music business you kind of have to keep trying all the time - you're never comfortable at the top. We were number one for that week but then the next week you're not and it's like, 'Oh'."

Bandmate Mollie King added: "[People ask] when are they going to get another. Well we've got one and we've each got a plaque at home saying number one and I'm happy."
