The Saturdays have confirmed plans to release a greatest hits album and perform in the UK and Ireland later this year.

The girl group had been teasing an announcement set for 10am UK time today (April 3) and they did not disappoint.

The Brits announced that they will unleash 'Greatest Hits' in August, which will feature all their singles in addition to three new tracks.

The Saturdays will also embark on their Greatest Hits Live! UK and Ireland tour, which will run from September 7 to September 23.

Tickets will go on general sale from April 9. The full tour schedule is as follows:
