The Saturdays deny they will split after greatest hits tour

The Saturdays have dismissed speculation that their upcoming greatest hits celebrations means that the band is ending.

The British girl group confirmed on Thursday (April 3) that they will release the compilation album 'Greatest Hits' in August.

The quintet will then follow that up with a UK and Ireland tour in September.

However, the Saturdays told ITV's Lorraine that the greatest hits album and tour isn't a covert way of the 'Not Giving Up' group saying goodbye to their fans.

The band were asked if they were due to split, with their members replying 'no' in unison.

Frankie Sandford added: "It's more like a massive milestone for us as a band - we've been together seven years, it's our 17th single and it just felt like a natural progression for us. For us it's more like a celebration."

The Saturdays' tour meanwhile will kick off in Glasgow on September 7 before concluding in Plymouth on September 23.
