The Saturdays' Frankie Bridge insists Strictly Come Dancing won't 'curse' marriage

The Saturdays star Frankie Bridge believes Strictly Come Dancing won't come in the way of her marriage.

The singer is enjoying married life with footballer Wayne Bridge at the moment as she battles to win the BBC One dancing show.

However, a number of previous contestants and their relationships have fallen foul of the so-called 'Strictly curse' as they struck up a bond with their dancers.

Speaking to OK magazine, Bridge - who dances with the "brother" like Kevin Clifton - is adamant that her marriage will stay strong.

She said: "The show wouldn't come between me and Wayne though.

"I don't think it's Strictly's fault - there must be something wrong in the relationships already. I actually think this whole subject is made into a bigger thing than it is. After all, there are 15 couples every year, the show has been on for 12 series, so there aren't all that many couples affected by the supposed Strictly 'curse'."
