The Saturdays' Frankie insists band will return in 2016

The Saturdays star Frankie Bridge has told fans to expect the band to return next year.

The group are currently enjoying time off after releasing the greatest hits album 'Finest Selection' in 2014.

Speaking at the Attitude Awards on Wednesday (October 14), Bridge told Digital Spy that rumours of the band's demise are exagerrated.

She said: "I think next year you'll definitely see us all doing something!

"The lucky thing for us is that we are all still together, we are just taking a break, so we all will be back doing something. We're not putting an end to anything! If anyone still wants us we'll be there!"

Bandmate Mollie King recently signed a solo deal with Island Records, while Vanessa White is also starting her own career.

Bridge added: "It's really exciting for [King]. She's really nervous as well as excited, but from the minute I met Mollie I knew that's what she was always going to want to do.

"I'm really proud of her and really pleased for her, I'm excited for her."

Bridge meanwhile recently had her second child, while Una Foden and Rochelle Humes are also mothers.
