The Saturdays' Rochelle Wiseman feeling guilty about wedding after hearing of forced marriage

The Saturdays' star Rochelle Wiseman has admitted she has been left feeling guilty about her own upcoming wedding after hearing about forced marriages in Tanzania.

The singer visited the country alongside bandmate Vanessa White as part of a Comic Relief project.

The Mirror quotes the singer as saying that whilst she is getting "caught up" in the more lavish details of her wedding - such as flowers - some people are less lucky.

She said that she heard about children as young as 11 or 12 who have been "forced into submission" by their partners, with some children sold into marriage by their families. She said:

"It made me feel really guilty. You get so caught up in what you buy, and the flowers and who you're inviting. It's such a different experience. You think, 'I'm getting married, it's a laugh'. But when they talk about marriage...you can tell on the girls' faces that they’re not happy about it."

She added: "A lot of the girls are abused over there and the things that they've been through were kind of unimaginable. Many are younger than my sister, they have kids and they look like they're so small and you think, 'How the hell are you coping?'. It's surreal."
