The Saturdays: 'Just because we're having babies doesn't mean we'll fizzle out'

UK based girl group The Saturdays have opened up about the progressing collective career and reassured fans that growing up doesn't mean calling time on the well-loved pop act.

Member Vanessa White spoke to Digital Spy about the fact that songstress Rochelle Humes just had her first baby and how Frankie Sandford is also now pregnant, and confessed that it won't mean the end for The Saturdays by any means:

"I know, everyone keeps saying this. Not for now, I don't think - there's no stopping us. Everyone thinks because we're having babies that we'll fizzle out, but fortunately that's not happening yet."

"Rochelle will be coming back and Frankie will be going pretty much. We get one back and then we lose another! We're quite used to it now though. We've done so many shows [as a four-piece], we've got it down!"

The 'Higher' beauty also opened up about the girls' forthcoming new album and revealed that it's likely to be released in the autumn: "We've pretty much finished it. There's just another song lately, that we think is going to be our next single. Apart from that, I think it is literally finished. I'm really excited about it because we've got to work with some cool people. I like to think there's something on there for everyone. There's a nice few ballads on there as well."

"It's coming out around October. I don't have a date yet, but it will be October, which is always really exciting for me because it's my birthday! We always drop an album around that time and I'm like, 'Cool, when's the party?'"
