The Saturdays' Mollie King confirms she is writing a book

Blonde bombshell Mollie King, of The Saturdays fame, is set to become a first-time author in the future after announcing that she has started work on a novel.

Speaking to Britain's Hello! magazine recently, the 'Higher' beauty explained that it's aimed at a teenage audience and she's excited about the project:

"It's a novel and it's very early days, but it's an idea I had and I'm really excited it's happening."

Back in 2011, the songstress confessed that she has struggled with dyslexia in the past and told the Evening Standard newspaper: "When you had a go around the class, reading a few paragraphs each from a book, I would sit there dreading my turn. I used to have my best friend next to me, whispering the hard words to me. But once I realised what the problem was, I felt much better about the fact that I wasn't thick."

King has been pursuing her own creativity outside of her girl group over the past year as she wrote a song for the iconic American boyband Backstreet Boys and became the face of a campaign for the British Heart Foundation.
