The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford "can't wait" to take her son to football matches.

The brunette beauty is expecting her first child with soccer star Wayne Bridge.

Taking to her Twitter account today, Sandford gushed about including their new arrival in going to see his father at matches.

She wrote: "Off to watch the boy play today. Can't wait to be able to being the little man along too! (sic)."

Earlier this month, Sandford's bandmate Mollie King accidentally let slip that her first child will be male after she gushed to Hello! magazine: "We're all very excited and can't wait to meet him. It will be nice to have a little boy around."

Sandford then confirmed the news herself by sharing a photograph of some baby clothes via her Instagram account and accompanying the snapshot with the caption:

"Having so much fun getting my little Dudes clothes together! A little boy to add to the @thesaturdays crew! Can't wait to meet the cheeky monkey! (sic)."
