Shakira on Rihanna duet video: 'I asked my boyfriend's permission first'

Songstress Shakira has confessed that she asked her boyfriend, Gerard Piqué, for permission before shooting her risqué music video with Rihanna for their collaboration on 'Can't Remember To Forget You'

The clip, which was directed by Joseph Kahn, shows the pair cavorting and caressing each other on a bed andShakira told Ryan Seacrest that she ran the concept by her lover before getting on set:

"I asked him if he agreed with everything and he agreed. I wanted to make sure because he's super jealous. He's a man. He's territorial. He wants to know everything is under control."

She added that although she knew the video would be popular, he never expected it to be such a success: "[The video] was going to be a little controversial... I knew... people would be interested especially because Rihanna is so big, but these numbers are unbelievable."
