Shakira: 'My son would have it easier if he wanted to be a singer or an artist'

Singer Shakira has revealed that she would be supportive if her baby son, Milan, wanted to go into the music industry when he's older because she thinks it's a more accessible career now in this day and age than it was when she was starting out.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM, the 'Hips Don't Lie' beauty explained that if her son wanted to pursue a career as an artist she thinks he would find it easier than she did because the current generation has access to everything at the click of a button online, whereas she had to do everything in a much more hands-on way:

"If Milan, my son, decided he wanted to be a singer, an artist, I think he would have it easier. For me, it was hard. I had to go to every single radio station with my album under my arm. It was tough.”

During a recent interview with Glam magazine, Shakira admitted that being able to teach Milan something new on a daily basis is amazing and she loves motherhood: "I suppose it’s knowing that I can share with Milan everything I’ve learned and seen. I don’t have to keep all of that information to myself. I love teaching him something new every day."
