Shakira has hinted that she is working with LMFAO after posting pictures of herself in the studio with the group's Red Foo.

The sultry singer took to Twitter to post the pictures, with the pair also joined by Akon and RedOne.

She tweeted: "Hanging out with Red Foo (LMFAO), Akon and Red One in my studio in Barcelona!"

Shakira later tweeted a photo of the group dancing away.

The singer's last album, 'Sale el Sol', was released in 2010.

As previously reported, Shakira recently endured a run-in with an over zealous sea lion whilst on holiday in South Africa, suffering cuts as a result.
