Shania Twain honoured in Los Angeles

Shania Twain was honoured yesterday, June 2, in Los Angeles with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 'That Don't Impress Me Much' singer said the honour was "a miracle" and explained how touching it was to receive the accolade:

"I mean why is a girl from Timmons, Ontario standing here, getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? I really don't know. Where I come from and where I am today... it's a small miracle, to be honest, that I am here today..."

The performer, who recently opened up and spoke candidly about the breakdown of her marriage and how it affected her, added

"That is the truth of being a star. Our job is to make you happy and entertain you, come thick or thin - and I can tell you that I do that with the greatest of pleasure. Thank you all so much!"
