Shania Twain: 'I want a Lana Del Rey sound for my new record'

Country favourite Shania Twain has revealed that she has become a huge fan of songstress Lana Del Rey and wants to try and emulate her style on her forthcoming new album.

During an interview, the 'That Don't Impress Me Much' beauty explained that she fell in love with Del Rey's music and hopes to create something with a similar appeal this time around:

"I'm kind of stuck on the sound of that record (Del Rey's 'Born To Die'). I do want it to be perfect, and I want it to be something that I really enjoy and a product of my inspiration - not a product of necessarily anything I've done before or anyone I've been before in regards to making records, because it's been a long time."

She added to Rolling Stone that a lot of the songwriting is finished and she's now in the market for a producer that will understand her musical direction:

"I'm pretty much there with my songs, and I'm really just sitting on the fence in regards to a producer. So I'm listening to a lot of records, doing my homework there, and trying to determine who is the right match."
