Shawn Mendes: 'Niall Horan has offered to write music with me'

Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes has revealed that One Direction heartthrob Niall Horan has offered to write music with him if he's interested in ever teaming up.

Mendes, who is currently at the top of the charts with 'Stitches,' told Capital FM that they first met in the USA and just kept in touch: "I met him in America once and he reached out to me over Twitter."

He went onto add that Horan then suggested getting into the studio together: "'Give me a text if you're ever interested in writing or whatever' - he's a really cool guy".

Horan is currently on a break from One Direction, but recently reassured fans that he won't be going completely off the radar during the hiatus: "Hey guys just to let ya know, I'm still here don't worry. Just keeping my head down and enjoying the break, hope you understand. Love you."

Mendes has announced details of a world tour, that will come to London in May for a concert at the Hammersmith Apollo. Tickets for the European shows will go on sale from February 5, while the majority North America fans can buy tickets from January 6.
