'Stitches' sensation Shawn Mendes has revealed his top tips for Valentine's Day and admitted that the most important things are picking the perfect restaurant and personal hygiene. 

During an interview segment with Capital FM, the heartthrob explained that manners are also things to be taken into consideration:

"Number one... make sure you smell good - you've showered or you're clean! Number two... if you're going to take someone out to dinner, don't take them to a ridiculously fancy place... or a beach shack... or, like, McDonald's. Three... make sure you dress nice - look nice to match the fact that you smell good. Four - be yourself, but don't burp and fart in front of her. Don't ramble on... like I do."
