'Stitches' hitmaker Shawn Mendes has thanked his fans for their incredible support and revealed that he's really excited for the next phase of his career in a post on Twitter.

The Canadian heartthrob took to his official social media page earlier this morning and shared the following post: "I love you!!! Can't wait to show you the next step of everything!"

In an earlier update, Mendes explained that he is currently in intensive rehearsals and is honing his guitar skills: "Playing guitar forever. 5 hours today! Im gunna get this solo thing down. I'll be shredding by ACC! I promise! Haha. Lol I sound like a crazy person. Ha its because im actually crazy. Seriously out of my mind."

Mendes announced details of a full 2016 World Tour back in January and he will bring his live show to the UK for a concert at London's Hammersmith Apollo on May 6 and tickets for the event sold out in minutes. Check out the full schedule below:
