Shawn Mendes on fans: 'It makes me want to do this forever'

Canadian sensation Shawn Mendes recently sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone and revealed the best thing about being able to perform live.

During the chat, which took place backstage at his Radio City Music Hall concert in New York City, the heartthrob admitted that knowing there are people who want to watch him play gigs is incredibly inspiring and motivating:

“I still don’t understand the amount of people who know who I am.... It’s a really securing feeling – a really positive... it makes me want to do this forever, when I know there are people who want to come to my shows.”

Mendes, meanwhile, recently spoke to Capital FM about his pre-show rituals: “Actually, yeah, I guess I do. I have this certain tea I have to have... this throat coat tea. I’m convinced that if I don’t have this throat coat tea with honey then no voice will come out when I get on stage. So I have this tea and then this steam thing for my voice... then I watch Ed Sheeran videos on YouTube to pump me up, ‘that’s me, I can do it!’”
