Canadian hitmaker Shawn Mendes has hinted that brand new music is coming sooner than expected.

During a recent interview with Norwegian radio station NRK MP3 in Oslo, the 'Stitches' heartthrob explained that fans will have something to look forward to in the fall: "After we finish in Europe, we’re going to head to America to do the big American tour, and then release a new single and the new album in September."

Mendes also recently told BBC Radio 1 that his new album will be nothing short of a "game changer":

"It's going to be soon - definitely soon. We're just finishing it off, honestly. It's very nearly done. I'm very excited... it's a game-changing album. Honestly, I've never felt so proud of something in my life. It's totally, for me, the experience making it in the studio this time around was life-changing."
