Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes took to Twitter this evening (May 23) to tease a snippet of a new song called '#Better63'. 

He posted a link to YouTube, which allows fans to hear a 16-second clip of the track that includes the lyrics "I won't lie to you", and accompanied it with the following caption: "Can't wait for you all to hear this! #Better63 June 3rd."

Mendes, meanwhile, recently praised his supportive fans for allowing him to chase his dreams. On May 10 he tweeted: "Last few weeks have been some of the most fun times of my life, thank you so much Europe. NOW USA!! Thank you guys for allowing me to shoot for the stars. I'm so, so lucky."

Back in April, the 'Stitches' hitmaker told Norwegian radio station NRK MP3 in Oslo about the plans he has regarding new music: "After we finish in Europe, we’re going to head to America to do the big American tour, and then release a new single and the new album in September."
