Shawn Mendes Reveals How He Warms Up His Voice

Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes has revealed that there's one song in particular he will run through to warm up his vocals.

The talented young star, who just unveiled his new single 'Treat You Better', told Sirius XM that he loves to sing an Alicia Keys song because it's challenging and helps him to open up his voice:

"I used to sing 'Fallin'' by Alicia Keys because it's like the hardest song in the world to sing! Don't try and sing it... I can't."

Mendes, meanwhile, recently explained his plans for his new album to Norwegian radio station NRK MP3 and explained that he will aim to release it in September: "After we finish in Europe, we’re going to head to America to do the big American tour, and then release a new single and the new album in September."

In April, he told BBC Radio 1 that his highly anticipated new record is likely to be a "game-changer":

"It's going to be soon - definitely soon. We're just finishing it off, honestly. It's very nearly done. I'm very excited... it's a game-changing album. Honestly, I've never felt so proud of something in my life. It's totally, for me, the experience making it in the studio this time around was life-changing."
