Shawn Mendes has sold out New York's iconic Madison Square Garden in just a matter of days.

The singer will preview his upcoming new album 'Illuminate' at the venue on September 10.

Tickets for the show went on general sale on Saturday (July 16), but they have now sold out.

Mendes wrote on Twitter today (July 18): "We sold out Madison Square Garden so fast over the weekend guys."

The Canadian will drop his album on September 23.

It will act as the follow-up to Mendes' chart-topping 2015 debut record 'Handwritten'.
