Shawn Mendes: 'I'll forever have time to talk to fans if they want to talk'

Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes has revealed that he does sometimes worry that fame will change his life for the worst, but he feels as though he's in control of how much he lets it affect him.

He told Britain's The Sun newspaper that he is learning how to deal with new challenges all the time so can adapt quickly to new situations: "I do worry a little, but if it does happen I’ll take it with a pinch of salt and learn how to handle it."

"Truthfully, I don’t think there will ever be a time when I can’t walk across the street to go to a restaurant. It’s up to you to keep your life as normal as possible."

The "Treat You Better" star added: "I will forever have time to take photos with fans and talk to them if they want to talk. But when it comes to having time to myself, I take it seriously. You can’t give the world your whole self or you’d fall apart. I give as much as I can, and then I have to take time for myself."
