Shayne Ward loves being back on stage and plans to make new music

Following the news back in April that Shayne Ward had been cut from Syco's roster, the 'Breathless' singer is bouncing back with a new role in a west end show and potential new music plans in the pipeline.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star newspaper, Ward explained that playing a cheeky rocker in the musical Rock Of Ages is great and he intends to return to the studio once his stint is over. He even admitted that Simon Cowell is welcome to watch him on stage because his career is owed to the music mogul:

"If he likes rock, he’s more than welcome. I wouldn’t be here now if it wasn’t for Simon. I had a three-album deal and did three albums. Lady GaGa got dropped, The Beatles took ages to get signed."

“Once I finish the show I’ll be back in the studio. I’m proud of the last album and I’m not done with it. I still have the rights. This isn’t the end of me as a pop star."

"Learning lines has been like learning song lyrics. The challenge for me has been the American accent – it’s set on Sunset Boulevard. It’s tough, but I have a diction coach. I never thought I could do rock but my vocal coach said the fact I haven’t sung like that before is amazing."
