VenSun Release Debut EP The Dragon Flies

VenSun is a new name in electronic music; an inspired collaboration between the renowned French DJ / Producer, David Vendetta and esteemed songstress, Sylvia Tosun. Landing on 11th November, ‘The Dragon Flies’, is their debut EP; a journey across the electronic music landscape merging Vendetta’s flawless production ear for the dancefloor, with Tosun’s unerring ability to deliver meaningful lyrical content with unforgettable melodic intent.

Set for release on New York City’s leading, boutique, electronic music label, Sea To Sun Recordings, The Dragon Flies EP features three new singles spanning the sounds of house, techno and EDM, plus three bonus club mixes of each single to cater for the demands of clubland. David Vendetta simply describes its sound as, “enchanting, strong and sensual.”

The title track, ‘The Dragon Flies’, is an epic, piano-laden house production, loaded with cool, house grooves, huge drops and Sylvia’s haunting, unforgettable vocals, delivered with attitude and sure to move any dancefloor.

Track two, ‘Chasing Summers’ delivers an uplifting, euphoric vocal complete with hands-in-the-air moments and dream-like breakdown, all providing perfect contrast to the big-room, electro house production that drops huge rolling basslines full of punch and passion.

The third track, ‘Ever After’ features, alongside Vendetta and Tosun, the talents of American duo, Taurus & Vaggeli whose productions have found their way into the sets of Tiesto, David Guetta, Chris Lake and Carl Cox to name a few. ‘Ever After’ is a mash up of house and techno, with a mind-bending build and hook-filled, bouncing synth drop with discerning dancefloors in mind. Tosun flexes her vocal abilities once again, with unpredictable harmonies adding sophisticated layers to this track.

David Vendetta is one of France’s best known DJ / Producers, recognised for producing quality house music with releases on such respected labels as Ultra, Paradise Records and Roger Sanchez’s, Stealth Records. His releases Love To Love You Baby and Break For Life have in excess of 2million hits on YouTube. When not in the studio, his global following ensures his DJ schedule is always hectic.

Sylvia Tosun is not your usual EDM siren. Classically trained, and accepted into the Juilliard School of Music in New York at just 15 years old, her capacity to interweave traditional songwriting and lyrical significance with dancefloor sensibilities, has seen her top the Billboard Club Charts and score multiple club hits around the world. Her 2011 collaboration with Alex M.O.R.P.H, An Angel’s Love was signed to Armada Music and remains one of the biggest trance anthems of recent years.

In 2011, an anonymous mash up of Sylvia’s Above All release and David’s I Hope She Turns Around became a big club record, bringing the two artists together. David got in touch saying he loved Sylvia’s voice and they began to collaborate on some original music. In the months that followed David produced over a dozen instrumentals while Sylvia began crafting lyrics and melody with her vocal collaborator and producer, Anton Bass. In February 2013, Sylvia and Anton flew to David’s studio in Nice and immersed themselves in the music, emerging two weeks later with the VenSun project ready to launch...
