Snoop Dogg says roasting Justin Bieber was 'hood'

Snoop Dogg says Justin Bieber's Comedy Central Roast is reminiscent of behaviour in the "hood".

The singer was the latest subject of the TV show that pokes fun at celebrities.

The Canadian filmed the programme at the weekend and Snoop Dogg was one of the 'roasters' taking aim at Bieber.

Speaking after the recording, the rapper told Bang Showbiz:

"He's my homeboy, that's what we do in the hood! It's a fun thing to be able to joke at each other, that's what keeps our skills on top."

Comedian Pete Davidson also took part in the roasting and he added:

"I just think he's perfect for it because he's a misunderstood person and you'll get to see a cool side of him. But we all know he's only doing this so people will like him. We're not stupid. I know he's still an a**hole and he's not changing at all, it's just he obviously has a smart team around him. But it's a cool thing that this is happening."

Bieber's Comedy Central Roast will air in the US on March 30.
