HeCTA pay homage to early days of CGI in new video. Album 'The Diet' out now via City Slang.“The Diet is no whim. This is serious…and seriously good.” - **** MOJO“ An immersive and emphatically pulsing ride” - 7/10 Uncut “A feast for the ears” - Electronic Sound “A completely different, remarkably fresh direction.” - Clashmusic “Roughly five thousand times better than you’d expect an alt-country band’s dance single to be” - Stereogum Today, HeCTA shared the new video for “Sympathy for the Auto Industry” from their debut album The Diet, which was released last week on City Slang. As with the previously released video for “The Concept,” “Sympathy for the Auto Industry” pays homage to the early days of CGI. Award-winning director Chris Shepherd recalls the first time he heard the song. “I wanted to do something that matched the electronica of the track. It felt like the Human League/Heaven 17 vibe of the track screamed out for something visually similar to the ‘Money for Nothing’ promo by Dire Straits. I also thought it would be cool to collaborate with RTS award nominee and Kingston graduate Jez Pennington, whose graduate film Pigeon Kids is a story of urban alienation in a world of CGI.” For more information please contact kate@stereosanctity.co.uk / t. +44 7812 607 230.
