Mozart's Sister & Pierre Kwenders to play POP Off Europe tour this May

With shows in Wales, Liverpool, Brighton, London, Glasgow! Arbutus' Mozart's Sister & Montreal via Congo singer Pierre Kwenders will play shows across Europe this May!

Today we're excited to say that POP Montreal Festival has announced its annual POP Off Tour, which will take place throughout Europe in May. This year they present Arbutus-signed Mozart’s Sister & Montreal via Congo singer Pierre Kwenders. POP Off showcases will run at The Great Escape, Liverpool Sound City, Focus Wales festivals as well as curated nights in London, Glasgow, Paris, Berlin & Krakow.

Mozart's Sister
Mozart’s Sister, aka Calia Thompson-Hannant, delights in making glittery, celebratory pop with underlying vulnerability and emotion. Her music relives her childhood love of 90s dance pop – colourful, cartoonish, goofy but always earnest. Her recent album ‘Field of Love’ came out Febuary 17th via Arbutus Records.

Pierre Kwenders
Whilst Pierre Kwenders' music ranges from icy R&B to futuristic hip-hop, his style is rooted in Congolese rumba, the ubiquitous sound of The Democratic Republic of Congo. Like Kwenders, the genre’s identity transcends location. Kwenders is set to release his new album later this year, the follow up to 2014’s 'Le Dernier Empereur Bantou' LP.
