Take That admit Michael Eavis ignores their calls about playing Glastonbury

Take That have said that Glastonbury Festival boss Michael Eavis has blanked them when it comes to landing a slot at the event.

The group have never played the iconic festival and they aren't generally regarded as a band to perform at such events.

However, singer Howard Donald told reporters at the BBC Music Awards on Thursday (December 11) that they want to play Glastonbury - but it seems their request isn't getting very far.

He said: "Historically we've never done festivals - we did try and contact Michael Eavis but he didn't reply."

Mark Owen added: "We keep leaving him messages, can you help us?"

Take That meanwhile recently released new album 'III' and it shot straight to No.1 in the UK.
