Take That to perform at England Rugby World Cup send-off event

Take That have been confirmed to perform at a special event to send-off the England rugby team to the 2015 World Cup.

The band will perform at Wear the Rose Live at London's O2 Arena on September 9.

The show is being held to celebrate the opening of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, which is being held in England.

Take That commented: "We're really excited to be returning to The O2 in September for this very special night, bringing together two of our favourite things, music and sport.

"We've met some of the England players preparing for the show and we're delighted to be supporting Head Coach Stuart Lancaster and the whole England Rugby team in this huge year.

"We've been asked to perform some of our biggest hits to close Wear the Rose Live and look forward to seeing many of you there."

Also on the bill are Collabro and Laura Wright, while the England rugby squad will also appear.

Tickets for the O2 Arena gig will go on sale from July 29.
