Over 100 women hospitalised after Take That concerts

Over 100 women were hospitalised after Take That's recent Progress tour dates in Manchester.

The 'Patience' stars performed eight shows at Eastlands and a report from The Daily Telegraph confirms that "doctors had to treat about 160 extra patients on the concert dates - or 27 per day, stretching hospital resources."

The report also reveals that the majority of injuries were alcohol related and ranged from strained ankles to broken wrists to alcohol poisoning.

A steward at Eastlands admitted that the mostly female crowd displayed some shocking behaviour and were "worse than (fans) a football match":

"I have worked at lots of concerts and some of the drunkenness was unbelievable. Some women were slumped in their seats barely able to walk. It was way worse than a football match."
