Take That have been honoured with the PRS for Music Outstanding Contribution to British Music gong at the 2012 Ivor Novello Awards.

The popular group won the award today (May 17) at the Ivor Novello Awards ceremony in London.

The band were also nominated in the PRS for Music Most Performed Work category for their song 'The Flood'.

However, they eventually lost out to Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep', which shared writing credits with Paul Epworth.
